Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Ahmad Hussain, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India ("we", "us"), the operator of World Chat. By using World Chat you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Who can use World Chat

You must be at least 18 years old. By using the app you confirm that you are. You may not use World Chat if we have previously banned you.

2. Your account

You sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your Apple or Google account secure. You choose a display name, which must follow the Community Guidelines and must not pretend to be another person or organisation.

You own what you write. By posting, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display and distribute your message, display name, city and country within World Chat for the purpose of running the service, including keeping hidden copies for up to 30 days for safety review. This licence ends when the message is deleted.

You are solely responsible for your messages. Do not post anything you do not have the right to share.

6. Moderation and enforcement

We may remove any message, and suspend or ban any account, that we believe breaks these Terms or the Community Guidelines, with or without notice. Typical enforcement:

Bans apply to your account and to the device used. Banned users may still read the app but cannot post.

You can appeal any decision by emailing mahmedhussain@outlook.com or using the Appeal button in the app.

7. Reporting and blocking

You can report any message and block any user from inside the app. We review reports and act on them as quickly as we can, normally within 24 hours.

8. Ending your use

You may stop using World Chat and delete your account at any time from the Account page. We may suspend or end your access as described in section 6. Sections 4, 9, 10, 11 and 12 continue after your account ends.

9. Disclaimers

World Chat is provided "as is" and "as available". Messages are written by users, not by us, and we do not endorse them. We do not promise that the app will always be available, error-free, or that every harmful message will be caught before others see it.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from content posted by other users. Our total liability for any claim relating to World Chat is limited to INR 1,000. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You agree to compensate us for reasonable losses and costs arising from your breach of these Terms or from content you post.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India.

13. Intermediary status and grievances

World Chat acts as an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000. Complaints about content or conduct can be sent to our Grievance Officer, Ahmad Hussain, at mahmedhussain@outlook.com. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When we make a meaningful change, the app will show the new version and ask you to accept it before you post again.
